Salmonella Causes Massive Pet Food Recall

14 cases of the bacterial infection, salmonella, have been found in humans in nine states which have been linked to contaminated pet food. This has prompted the Food and Drug Administration to expand its initial recall of Diamond Pet Food products manufactured between December 9, 2011 and April 7, 2012, from the company’s plant in Gaston, SC. Pig Gets a Day in Court

Wilber is a one-and-a-half-year-old Vietnamese pot-bellied pig who was being evicted by a Houston Texas Home Owner Association (HOA) known as the Cypresswood Community Improvement Association. Wilber lives with the Sardo family and they were informed in a letter on April 6, 2011 that their Association wanted Wilber removed from their home and threatened to file a lawsuit. According to the pet Allergy Worldwide Survey (PAWS) 44 percent of dog and cat owners were not aware of the symptoms that their pet could be suffering from seasonal allergies.
